A frozen egg cohort is a guaranteed number of mature donor eggs that have been vitrified (flash-frozen) and stored in Lucina’s on-site laboratory, making them immediately available for treatment.

Standard cohorts typically include 6–8 frozen eggs and are priced between $19,000–$25,000. Each cohort comes with a fixed, transparent price and includes our Blastocyst Guarantee at no extra cost.

Some promotional programs, such as Lucina’s Eggceptional Flash Offer, may have different pricing or guarantees.

3. Lucina coordinates shipment of your eggs to your fertility clinic—or to Lucina’s IVF lab, depending on your program.

Yes. You’ll receive an itemized receipt for your cohort purchase that you can provide to your IVF clinic for their documentation. Some families also choose to submit this receipt to their insurance provider. However, Lucina does not bill insurance and does not provide CPT or HCPCS medical billing codes, so coverage varies by plan. We recommend checking with your insurance provider directly to see whether any portion may be eligible for reimbursement.

Lucina manages and monitors all logistics for safe transport to your clinic. Shipping costs are included in the total fixed price discussed at purchase, ensuring no last-minute expenses.

Because all eggs are frozen and ready, shipment can occur within 5–7 business days of completing payment. This rapid turnaround helps you stay on your IVF schedule without unnecessary delays.

Lucina guarantees transparent, fixed pricing. The only exceptions are:

• Shipping fees are sometimes excluded from refunds.
  
• Specific promotions or guarantees that require embryo creation in our on-site lab.

All details are clearly outlined in your program agreement.

Each guarantee plan is offered as its own fixed-price package. You can upgrade before purchase to a higher-tier program (e.g., from Blastocyst to PGT-A Guarantee), but programs cannot be combined once the cycle begins.
